Signature Domino Set (November Edition)

Coming Soon

These dominoes are part of the installation Domi(woes) of a Caribbean Colony

Installation description:

This installation reimagines the Caribbean pastime of dominoes as a meditation on power, disaster capitalism, and colonial subjugation. The table is built from plywood and brass—materials tied to both survival and exploitation. The plywood and the dominoes, which are made of tarp, rest on aluminum recalling hurricane protections. While brass, was once used by Spanish colonizers to underpay Boricua laborers. The brass is left to patina, and its tarnish marks centuries of imposed rule.

Beneath the surface, the archipelago of Borikén/Puerto Rico lies under the shadow of a vast hurricane. Each side of the table represents a political party shaping Puerto Rico’s future, turning play into a stage of secrecy, extraction, and corruption. By engaging, visitors are drawn into the tensions of every day colonial life. Through participation, visitors are drawn into the tensions of everyday colonial life and invited to reflect, converse, and imagine new possibilities for Borikén/Puerto Rico’s future.

You are getting the limited November Don't Discover Puerto Rico 2025 edition. Which will be numbered and signed by the artist.

*Because of the handmade nature of the bag and dominoes, note that they won't all look exactly the same.
